Featuring an updated face and delivering the new Sasquatch Package for certain trim levels, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport offers a choice of two engines depending on trim level and buyer preference. Interestingly, the 2025 Bronco Sport actually drinks less fuel than its 2024 model year predecessor, according to the latest EPA fuel economy estimates.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport features the small but mighty turbocharged 1.5L EcoBoost I3 as standard, while an upgrade is available in the form of the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost I4 engine. That 1.5L EcoBoost with four-wheel-drive (4WD), which is standard on Big Bend, Outer Banks, Heritage, and Free Wheeling models, is rated for 25 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined – up slightly from the 2024 model, which is rated at 26 mpg combined.

That same 1.5L three-pot is also the engine of choice for the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks Sasquatch Package, but its fuel economy is slightly different. The numbers for this model are 23 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Finally, the 2.0L EcoBoost drinks quite a bit more fuel than the 1.5L powerhouse. At 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined, however, it’s exactly the on par with the same engine for the 2024 model year. This engine is available in the Bronco Sport Badlands and Badlands Sasquatch Package models.

Outside of the new Sasquatch Package, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport represents the first refresh for the “baby Bronco.” It gets new looks both inside and out, borrowing elements from the regular Ford Bronco; it also ditches three exterior colors while gaining two new ones. Its assembly is handled at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico, where production began on November 11th, 2024, as previously reported by Ford Authority.

It’s worth noting that Trump enacted tariffs have driven the price of the 2025 Bronco Sport up since it’s produced in Mexico. For reference, the off-road crossover now starts at $30,995 excluding destination freight charges, up from its $29,995 price tag upon launch.
