Lighted front emblems are quickly catching on, offering drivers a flashy way to turn heads when the sun goes down. A backlit Blue Oval emblem is already offered for several models in Ford’s lineup, and Ford Authority recently learned that it’s headed for the 2026 Ford Super Duty, too.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the 2026 Ford Super Duty can be ordered with an illuminated front emblem as a dealer-installed option (DIO). That means it will be shipped separately from the vehicle and installed at the dealer instead of at the factory. Previously, this customization wasn’t available at all on the heavy duty pickup, even as a standalone option.
At the time of this writing, pricing for the illuminated front emblem is not available. However, it’s worth noting that as a standalone option on the Ford F-150, it costs $309, for reference. It’s not clear if the price will be the same for the 2026 Ford Super Duty.
In other 2026 Ford Super Duty news, buyers of the XLT and Lariat trims no longer have access to standard four-wheel-drive (4WD), although 4X4 is still offered as an optional upgrade; rear-wheel-drive (RWD) is now standard on these trims. It also receives updates to its connectivity package, minorly altering its availability. The SecuriCode keyless entry keypad is also back as a factory installed option rather than one installed at the dealer.
More minor updates include the addition of a standard tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) across the board, along with an optional battery jump-start pack. There’s also minor updates headed for its package lineup beyond connectivity features, such as the expanded availability of the STX Appearance Package and Tremor Off-Road Package, which is a late-availability option for certain trim levels.
It also gains the new Kicker subwoofer option, which is a dealer-installed feature offered on the SuperCab and Crew Cab models, and for non-chassis pickups, it’s not able to be paired with the XLT Premium Package, specifically.
Telling you which states it can't be sold in.
It's a well-used example decommissioned a few years ago.
While one of its chief rivals has grown considerably.
Dropping its offerings to just six colors.
Small and mighty versus over-the-top aggressive.
