The Ford Authority Take

Ford brand sales, which do not include sales of the Lincoln luxury division – which had a standout Q2, were very healthy during the second quarter of 2025. Of the 16 nameplates offered by The Blue Oval brand in the U.S., ten were in the green while six were in the red.

At 51.3 percent, the Bronco midsize off-road SUV posted the highest growth rate on a percentage basis as sales grew to almost 40K units. The Expedition, all-new for the 2025 model year, was a close second, posting a sales growth of 44 percent, while the Bronco Sport saw the third-highest growth rate at 37 percent. The F-Series range remained by far the most popular for Ford, recording 216,617 deliveries for a 13 percent gain.

In the red were the Edge – which was sadly discontinued, along with the E-Series (down less than one percent) and Heavy Trucks, the F-650 and F-750 (down 18 percent). All of Ford’s EV models – the E-Transit, Mustang Mach-E, and F-150 Lighting, were also in the red, seeing drops of 88 percent, 19.5 percent and 26 percent, respectively.

  1. With the pricing and especially the flood of quality control problems why are people still buying ?
