For reference, here are the 2026 Ford Escape trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including destination/delivery charge of $1,495:
The 2026 Ford Escape represents the seventh model year of the fourth-generation crossover SUV, which was launched for the 2020 model year. The 2026 model year, which will be the last for the compact crossover, introduces a handful of minor changes and updates compared to the previous 2025 model. Here is what’s new and different.
Just one change is in store for the exterior of the 2026 Escape, namely that the Vapor Blue Metallic is now an extra-cost paint color. By comparison, the hue was a no-cost option on the 2025 model.
The 2026 Escape carries over four powertrain options. First is the turbocharged Ford 1.5L I3 EcoBoost engine, rated at 180 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque, which is standard on the Escape Active and ST-Line trim levels. The turbocharged Ford 2.0L I4 EcoBoost engine delivers 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, and is standard on the ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite and Platinum trims.
Two electrified variants are also offered, starting with the Hybrid 2.5L I4, rated at 192 total system horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. It’s optional on the ST-Line, ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, and Platinum trims in all-wheel-drive (AWD) only, since FWD hybrid configurations have been dropped for the 2026 model year. Finally, the Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) 2.5L I4, rated at 210 total horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, is offered exclusively in front-wheel-drive (FWD).
Pricing for the 2026 Escape shows it more expensive on almost every trim, but, unlike for 2025, hybrid models actually cost less than each respective gas variant. Additionally, the 2026 PHEV trim is cheaper than the 2025 model. The destination and delivery charge of $1,495 is unchanged.
The 2026 Ford Escape won’t be sold in six U.S. states – California, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington – as it is not certified for emissions requirements with the California Air Resources Board.
