2025 Ford Bronco Updates, Changes, New Features

The 2025 Ford Bronco marks the the fifth model year of the of-road SUV’s sixth generation, bringing with it major changes and updates.

Model Line

The 2025 Ford Bronco received significant changes to its model line, deleting four trim levels. As such, it continues with the following trims, offered exclusively in 4WD:

• Base
• Big Bend
• Outer Banks
• Badlands
• Stroppe Edition
• Raptor
• Heritage Edition

Meanwhile, the following trims have been deleted:

• Black Diamond
• Wildtrak
• Everglades
• Heritage Limited Edition

Mechanical

• 10-speed automatic transmission is now available with 2.3L engine on two-door Badlands models
  • For the 2024 model year, 10-speed automatic was not available with 2.3L engine on Badlands trim; 8-speed automatic was standard
• Electric Brake Boost is now standard with all 2025 Ford Bronco models and engines
  • For the 2024 model  year, Electric Brake Boost was included with 2.7L engine only
• HOSS 3.0 suspension with FOX Internal Bypass Dampers is now optional on Badlands trim
  • For the 2024 model year, HOSS 3.0 suspension was optional on now-discontinued Wildtrak trim

Exterior

• 17-inch beadlock capable Black High Gloss-Painted Aluminum wheels with Warm Alloy Beauty Ring are now standalone option on Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands
  • For the 2024 model year, these wheels were only included in the optional Sasquatch package
• Removable hoop step is now a dealer-installed option on Base and Big Bend trims
  • For the 2024 model year, removable hoop step was a factory installed option offered as standalone option or bundled into Mid/High Packages
• Deletion of two-door configuration from Big Bend and Heritage Edition trims
  • For the 2024 model year, Big Bend and Heritage Edition could be ordered in two- or four-door configuration
• Deletion of Base LED Headlamps
  • For the 2024 model year, Base LED Headlamps were standard on Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak
• Deletion of LED Signature Lighting
  • For the 2024 model year, LED Signature Lighting was standard on Heritage Edition
• Addition of three new exterior paint colors

Interior and Comfort

• Ambient footwell lighting now standard across all 2025 Ford Bronco trims
  • For the 2024 model year, ambient footwell lighting was included in optional Mid Package for Heritage Limited Edition, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades
• Hard Top Sound Deadening Headliner is now optional on four-door Base, Outer Banks, and Badlands trims
  • Availability: requires Hard Top or Dual Top
  • For the 2024 model year, this was standard on Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands
• Addition of Auxiliary Switches with Pre-Run Accessory Wires located in Overhead Console with Front Map Lights
  • Availability: included in Big Bend Black Diamond Package, standard on Badlands and Heritage Edition
  • For the 2024 model year, this was optional on Heritage Edition
• Heated steering wheel now standard on Outer Banks, Badlands, and Raptor
  • For the 2024 model year, this was optional as part of in High/Lux Package on Limited Edition, Raptor, Wildtrak, Badlands and Outer Banks
