One glance at this green on green 1978 Ford Bronco may be all you need to have you reaching for your wallet. It would be a surprise if anyone has seen a Bronco in this color scheme before. According to the Marti Report on the 1978 Ford Bronco, this is one of only five Broncos ever made in this color combination.
It’s a light jade and dark jade two-tone that was on the Bronco from the factory in 1978. Odds are this green Bronco is the only one of the five that is still in existence. The ride was orientally sold in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and was donated to the Tupelo Auto Museum after the original owner had it for two decades.
It spent much of its life sitting in that museum, and the owner says all the documents along with old Polaroid pictures of when it was delivered go with it. The Bronco has 70,000 miles on the odometer. Other than being a very rare color, the Bronco also has a very rare bench seat in front. It also has a factory CB and Cruise Control along with rare sport mirrors.
The entire Bronco is box stock, and everything works. The body is straight and has never been in an accident. The chrome is said to maintain its factory shine. The undercarriage is original and never cleaned, which means a smattering of light surface rust. There is no substantial rot anywhere on the Bronco. Power is from the factory 351 cubic-inch 2V V8 with an automatic transmission.
