Back in January, Ford Authority was the first to report that the refreshed 2022 Lincoln Navigator would be receiving a large, horizontally-oriented infotainment screen. Then, just last month, we got our first look at this new screen, along with a portion of the 2022 Navigator’s revised interior. Now, a series of new 2022 Lincoln Navigator spy photos show this new, significantly larger, screen – which features far less bezel – in greater detail than before.
The big story here is, of course, that this new infotainment screen is much bigger than the one present in the 2021 Lincoln Navigator, which will help it better compete with its chief rival – the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade. But the bezels present on the outgoing model’s screen have been slimmed down considerably, which gives the new screen a much more modern appearance and makes room for the larger unit.
As is the case with most modern infotainment screens, the one present in these 2022 Lincoln Navigator spy photos isn’t integrated into the center stack, and instead sticks out in an almost tablet-like form. However, it does feature a piece of chrome trim around the edges that visually integrates it with the HVAC vents below.
Aside from this new infotainment screen, the rest of the center stack appears to be identical to the one present in the current model. But the new screen won’t be the only revision the 2022 Navigator presents. The luxurious SUV will also receive a host of other updates, including a revised exterior with new front and rear fascias, and, as Ford Authority exclusively reported recently, the Navigator will be available with Ford’s new BlueCruise driver-assist feature, or something similar.
We expect the 2022 Navigator to continue to offer Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as its standard powerplant, possibly with some modifications to increase output over the 2021 Navigator. Additionally, the Navigator is expected to gain a hybrid powertrain option, likely the 3.5L PowerBoost V6 that debuted in the 2021 Ford F-150. Both engines will be mated to Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2022 Navigator will continue to be produced at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant alongside the Ford Expedition and Ford Super Duty. We expect the updated model to be revealed this summer and launch in the second half of 2021 as a 2022 model.
We’ll have more on the 2022 Navigator soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Lincoln news, Lincoln Navigator news, and continuous Ford news coverage.
It lost some ground to its cross-town rival in recent months, however.
A rather bizarre incident, indeed.
A DOE spokesperson denied the report.
Amid a general slowdown in demand for EVs.

Total let down.
What a joke, that looked good maybe 10 years ago
The interior is a bit of a letdown, just the same as the current one but with a bigger screen. I think it is time for a change because that style looks a bit old by current standards.
Everyone is 100%. The screen absolutely looks like an afterthought. I personally like the exterior over the Escalade. Escalade got the screen right whereas Navigator got it completely wrong. As others said its very outdated. Would have been better off not "updating" than to have created the hype and then deliver this. I'm ordering my Escalade now.
Lol. These comments are hilarious. I've been in both the current Navigator and the NEW Escalade, and I gotta tell you, the Navigator is still nicer.
GM banked solely on that OLED screen, which is impressive for it's size, but still uses GMs old and outdated design UI. This means you get a nice OLED with a pretty last gen infotainment UI. I WILL say, however, GM did pack a lot of impressive features in the Escalade. I didn't get to see super cruise, but the HUD was really nice and the 360 camera quality was very very good.
The Navigator, however, has a much more lux and coherent interior. Where the Escalade is a combination of textures, materials, lines, and curves, the Navigator is a well designed and overall more nicely laid out interior. It felt WAY more premium in the Navigator and you can tell that GM didn't really know how to finish that interior with the massive screen.
I'm not trying to dis the Escalade cause it's a great vehicle for some people, but I would take the Navigator over the Escalade 7 days out of the week.
My Sync3 update did not wipe out any of my SiriusXM settings, nor any other settings. And if you think U-Connect or MyLink are better, well... that tells me all I need to know about your opinion.
