The redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition just debuted this past October sporting a host of updates, inside and out. The large SUV continues to be available in standard-length and extended-length Max configurations, and in trim levels including Active, King Ranch, Platinum, and the brand new off-road-focused Tremor, which effectively replaces the outgoing Timberline. However, one of those 2025 Ford Expedition trim levels just received a small mid-year price bump, it seems.

According to a dealer bulletin recently seen by CarsDirect, the 2025 Ford Expedition Active has received a $300 price bump, meaning that it now starts out at $62,000. This update applies to all models invoiced by February 13th, 2025, and is joined by price increases of $130 for the refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer Active, ST-Line, and ST, as Ford Authority recently reported. Additionally, the refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick just received its own round of mid-year price increases, too. The Maverick XL and XLT Hybrid pickups increased by another $445, meaning that the electrified model now costs a whopping $7,100 more than it did when it debuted for the 2022 model year – $28,590 including the mandatory destination charge of $1,595, compared to $21,490 previously with the same charge included.
As part of its redesign, the 2025 Ford Expedition gained a number of exterior styling updates – largely at the front and rear – with the most notable being its brand new split tailgate feature. The top three-quarters of the liftgate raises upward, while the lower portion folds down, and can support up to 500 pounds. The Split Gate also features a seatback as part of the optional Cargo Tailgate Manager, and can transform into a serving table.
Inside the cabin, the biggest change present in the 2025 Ford Expedition is the addition of a new 24-inch panoramic display that doubles as the instrument cluster and is paired with an 13.2-inch center screen. The new displays are running the Ford Digital Experience software, which offers users integrated features such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Alexa Built-In.
