Ford Explorer Discount Takes Up To $5,500 Off In March 2021

A new Ford Explorer discount drops the price of 2020 models by $5,500 during March 2021. However, the generous offer is only available in select markets. The Blue Oval is also offering interest-free financing for qualifying buyers in select markets, and is combining the zero-percent offer with a cash allowance.

Aside from the incentives noted above, Ford is also offering similar discounts for the 2021 Explorer model in February, but they are all less lucrative than the offers available for the 2020 model.

Ford Explorer Incentives

Ford Explorer discount offers for March 2021 vary slightly by region. Below, we’re providing the largest discounts in four major U.S. markets below:

• New York:
  • 2020 Ford Explorer:
    • Discount: $5,500 total cash discount
  • 2021 Ford Explorer:
    • Discount: $5,000 total cash discount
      • Offer applicable to Limited gasoline, ST, and Platinum models
    • Finance: $4,250 total cash discount + 1.9 percent APR for 60 months
      • Offer applicable to Limited gasoline, ST, and Platinum models
• Detroit:
  • 2020 Ford Explorer:
    • Discount: $2,000 total cash discount
  • 2021 Ford Explorer:
    • Discount: $2,250 total cash discount
    • Finance: 1.9 percent APR for 60 months
• Miami:
  • 2020 Ford Explorer:
    • Discount: $3,500 total cash discount
    • Finance: $2,750 total cash discount + 0 percent APR for 72 months
  • 2021 Ford Explorer:
    • Discount: $2,000 total cash discount
    • Finance: $1,250 total cash discount + 1.9 percent APR for 60 months
• Los Angeles:
  • 2020 Ford Explorer:
    • Discount: $5,000 total cash discount
  • 2021 Ford Explorer:
    • Lease: $299 for 36 months
      • $3,999 due at signing
      • Security deposit waived

All of the aforementioned offers will remain valid through the end of March 2021.

As exclusively reported by Ford Authority, the 2021 Ford Explorer gains two new trim levels – King Ranch and Timberline, thereby expanding the range to seven available models. Ford has already announced the Explorer King Ranch, but has yet to do so with the Explorer Timberline.
