Formula Drift/Ultra4 racer and purveyor of RTR Vehicles, Vaughn Gittin Jr. has long had a cozy relationship with The Blue Oval, but he also played a role in helping to develop the all-new, S650 generation 2024 Ford Mustang, too. In fact, Gittin Jr. helped the automaker create the pony car’s new electronic drift brake, spent some time behind the wheel of a pre-production prototype, taught some moms how to drift in it, and is also returning to pro competition behind the wheel of the new Mustang-based Spec 5-FD Formula Drift racer this season. Now, his company – RTR Vehicles – is set to officially debut its own version of the new pony car, the 2024 Mustang RTR.

The 2024 Mustang RTR will be revealed in Orlando, Florida next Wednesday, May 24th. In a cool rooftop venue, RTR will unveil this new machine while also showcasing 25-30 hand-picked Mustangs, but the best part is, fans can RSVP and attend the event themselves. The company is providing dedicated Mustang parking for those owners, as well as other Ford vehicles and enthusiasts.

Aside from previewing its new front grille design with unique LED lighting, it’s unclear what the 2024 Mustang RTR will look like or consist of. However, currently, RTR’s S550 Mustang offerings include a “design package” with a unique grille, spoiler, deckled panel, badging, a dash plaque, and RTR wheels.

Additionally, the company sells cars equipped with both visual mods and varying levels of performance upgrades with outputs reaching as high as 750 horsepower in Spec 1, Spec 2,  Spec 3, and Spec 5 configurations, each with its own unique parts and accessories installed right at RTR’s own shop.

We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford Mustang soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and ongoing Ford news coverage.
