As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2025 Explorer ditched its factory-installed Illuminated Door Entry Keypad for a dealer-installed option, an extra-cost choice. Additionally, the refreshed Explorer gained one exterior color known as Vapor Blue Metallic, while dropping two others. Inside, the Explorer boasts quite a few interior colorways, a brand new infotainment system, and the crossover features a handful of fun Easter eggs if you're eagle-eyed enough to find them.
Production of the 2025 Explorer will continue at the Chicago Assembly plant. Pricing starts at $38,670 for the new base Active trim, and it’s worth noting that in some cases, certain trims are actually more affordable than the outgoing 2024 model year. Units only recently began landing at dealers in late July.
We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Explorer soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Explorer news and comprehensive Ford news updates.

Unfortunately the Explorer Marketing Team is out of touch with the customers buy the ST model. Black out trim with SOLID black wheels was a big draw for many customers. Taking away the solid high gloss wheels will have an affect on take rate. After 5 previous Explorers it made me skip the 25.
