The Lincoln Navigator family (see running Lincoln Navigator sales), comprised of the regular-length Navigator and extended-length Navigator L, placed second among full-size luxury SUVs in Q2 2025 when ranked by sales volume, as sales rocketed 115 percent to 7,355 deliveries.

Crosstown rival Cadillac Escalade (see running Cadillac Escalade sales) remained the best-selling model as sales grew 16 percent year-over-year to 11,692 units. The Navigator followed in second as the all-new model successfully navigates a generational changeover. The Infiniti QX80 took third with a 28 percent bump to 2,872 units, while the Lexus LX, in fourth, was up 22 percent for 1,976 deliveries. The Navigator family posted a 29 percent segment share, up 13 percentage points – the highest share increase of any model in the segment on a year-over-year basis. The Escalade duo earned a combined 46 percent segment share, down one percentage point. Meanwhile, the QX80 maintained an 11 percent share, while the LX maintained an eight percent share, and the Grand Wagoneer held five percent share, down 14 percentage points.

The full-size luxury SUV segment expanded 18 percent to 25,202 units in Q2 2025, meaning that Lincoln Navigator sales drastically outperformed the segment average.

For reference, we’ve included sales figures for full-size luxury unibody crossovers below, namely the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, which are typically cross-shopped against the mechanically different body-on-frame SUVs in this segment. The X7 and GLS are smaller than the regular Navigator, and of course even smaller than the Navigator L, being closer in size to the Lincoln Aviator. The Audi Q9 will arrive at some point as a new rival. Nevertheless, sales of the unibody crossovers challenged Lincoln’s body-on-frame SUV somewhat this quarter. The X7 slightly edged it out while the GLS-Class fell short but ahead of the Navigator’s competitors apart from the Escalade.

The Ford Authority Take

Lincoln Navigator sales soared 115 percent during the second quarter of 2025, as Lincoln’s flagship boasts several features – like the new Lincoln Split Gate – that distinguish it from crosstown rival Cadillac Escalade. In fact, not only did the Navi outsell all competitors combined, but it also narrowed the gap with the Escalade, single-handedly causing the Caddy to lose segment share.

Ironically, for all the traction that the Navigator gained on the Escalade this time around, large unibody crossovers like the X7 and GLS-Class, which are often cross-shopped with both, actually pose an even bigger threat than body-on-frame rivals. The X7 just beat out the Navigator and the GLS-Class was close behind, ahead of all full-size luxury SUVs apart from the Cadillac and Lincoln entries.

  1. $10,000 rebates will do wonders for sales. How many of these can they sell without rebates.
