The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E has been gaining in popularity with new vehicle shoppers since its launch late last year, and in spite of the semiconductor chip shortage, it quickly outproduced and outsold the ICE-powered Ford Mustang after just a few months of being on sale. Now, on the eve of earning Car and Driver‘s EV of the Year award and turning a profit early in its lifecycle, Ford has revealed that the EV crossover is on track to record some impressive sales figures by the end of the year.
Mach-E Brand manager Lisa Teed told Automotive News journalist Michael Martinez that the automaker is on track to deliver 50,000 units to the U.S. and Europe by the conclusion of 2021, which is an impressive figure. Regardless, it also seems very achievable given the fact that Ford has sold a grand total of 18,855 Mach-Es in the U.S. alone through the end of September.
2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E sales in the U.S. grew by 9.2 percent last month, totaling 1,578 vehicles, serving as a rare bright spot in Ford’s lineup while the automaker’s overall sales dropped 17.7 percent. Additionally, the Mach-E has proven to be quite popular in Europe, where it has held the distinction of being Norway’s best-selling vehicle for multiple months this year.
The Mach-E’s sales growth is good news for Ford as it continues to invest heavily in electric vehicles and battery production facilities. The crossover will soon be joined by the E-Transit and 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, as well as a host of future models including an electric version of the Ford Explorer and possibly even the Ford Bronco, while Ford is also working on creating two new EV platforms that can be used for a number of different types of vehicles.

Sounds like Ford has got another winner on their hands. Highly impressive that most Mach-E buyers are new to Ford and new to Mustang. As the Camaro dies next year, the Mustang brand is getting new life and a reason to continue to on. I expect the EV coupe Mustang to continue to do the same.
Good on Ford. Ive been seeing more and more on the roads here in Pittsburgh!
I ordered mine on May 5th. I was told approximately 13 weeks for delivery. It’s now 5 months later and I still don’t know when I will get it!
Ordered mine on 7/9 and received it on 11/9. Best car I've ever had. They will sell a bunch of these.
At a base MSRP of $44K with no manufacturer incentives, selling 50K units is at least 2.2 billion dollars. Doesn't sound like a joke to me...
They've discontinued it once, not sure why you don't think they'd do it again. Also, directly from GM Authority:

Why do you want to keep polluting the atmosphere so much? Do you have kids? Do you have grandkids? Do you want them to die?
Less than 19000 sold in the US? That’s a joke at best. Any other car would be canceled. $10,000 in tax credits is a hell of an incentive. Getting your neighbors to help pay for your car, is pathetic, but better than just about any other rebates. It isn’t as bad a joke as naming this fat pig, a Mustang.
Same here. I’m in Ft Lauderdale. I’m sure there’s 1 here somewhere
Thanks for your contribution to my awesome car. ,,I,,
