The Ford Authority Take

The Ford Bronco Sport competes in a crowded and highly-competitive segment of 15 entries – the biggest utility market in the U.S. – going up against perennial best-sellers like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. During the second quarter of 2025, the Bronco Sport placed ninth individually, while significantly outperforming the segment average with a 39 percent jump in sales compared to four percent for the segment. In fact, that 39 percent growth rate is second only to the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, a model that sells in low volumes, which the Bronco Sport outsells ten-fold.

We posit that this performance is the result of two factors: ample supply/inventory, and buyers taking note of the  refresh that launched for the 2025 model year, making the Bronco Sport more competitive than its pre-refreshed counterpart. As long as supply can keep up with demand, and macro factors such as tariffs, price wars, or exchange rates don’t muck things up, then sales of the rugged compact should continue to eek upward.

Better yet, combining Bronco Sport sales with those of the Ford Escape enabled FoMoCo to finish fourth overall and ahead of crosstown rival GM, cumulatively moving 84K units.

About Ford Bronco Sport

The refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport debuts with plenty of updates and changes, including new tech highlighted by a large infotainment screen and a first-ever Sasquatch Package, which comes equipped with a brush bar or guard and is only offered on the Outer Banks and Badlands trim levels. The Big Bend remains the base model in the lineup.

Check out our guide to every 2025 Bronco Sport package and paint color, which drops three but adds Ruby Red and Velocity Blue. Here are all the audio systems outlined.

Notably, the update model axes the rubberized cargo floor on three trims.

Here’s everything you need to know about 2025 Bronco Sport powertrains. The updated model slightly beats the 2024’s EPA fuel economy figures.

A review roundup concludes that the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport has true off-road cred, specifically in reference to the expensive but very capable Sasquatch Package.

  1. So what? Sales of it fell in August, along with those of the Escape. I can’t understand the latter as it’s a lame duck, with a hybrid variant as well. Sales of that should be zooming. Discounts need to be a lot higher, clearly.
