Sales were up a healthy 19 percent for MotorTrend’s 2025 SUV of the Year, the all-new Lincoln Nautilus that launched for the 2024 model year and continues to shine for 2025. The Nautilus was in good company, since it was one of only four models among a segment of 13 nameplates to finish the quarter in the green. Moreover, the Nautilus finished the quarter in fourth place in its segment – a ranking it has never held before.
We attribute the Nautilus’ success to a combination of a modern, highly competitive product, decent inventory, and strong price-to-value factor.
Notably, the Nautilus is built in China and will continue to be imported from there in spite of being most impacted by Trump tariffs. Even better, a Lincoln Nautilus refresh is already on track for a 2026 debut.
The 2025 Lincoln Nautilus features a few notable changes over the all-new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus.
Updates include the Premiere trim no longer coming standard with a spare tire, replaced with a standard tire mobility kit, though the spare tire remains available as a $250 option.
But the compact luxury crossover lineup finally the gains the Lincoln Rejuvenate feature and adds a new Whisper Blue Metallic Clearcoat paint color.
The 2025 model offers a choice of two powertrains. Standard on all three trims is the turbocharged 2.0L EcoBoost I4 gasoline engine, delivering 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Optionally available on all three, for an extra $2,000, is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 hybrid engine combined with a 100kW electric motor for a total of 310 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). All-wheel-drive (AWD) is exclusively offered across the lineup.
As Darrell Waltrip puts it, "You chose a fine time to leave me, loose wheel!"

Whoa, thank you pointing this out. I'm sure no one else here nor the 18,533 purchasers in 2025 knew that. Now that you've exposed this game changing information, I'm sure the market will experience a complete and total upheaval.
It will when the 25 percent tariff hits.
My wife and I love our leased 2023 Nautilus. After three years it will have less than 15000 miles. We are torn between buying this car or ordering a 2026. Wish us luck!
I'd buy yours. The market value is probably more than the buyout price. In the very least you can keep it another year or two and sell it for today's buyout price .
I presume like me others who bought the Nautilus gave no consideration to its place of manufacture in their decision to purchase.
