The Ford F-150 Raptor has long been a popular vehicle among celebrities, who are undoubtedly attracted to the rugged pickup’s aggressive styling and road presence, not to mention its off-road capability. That list includes people such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – who has not only owned an F-150 Raptor or two but also wants a Ford F-150 Lightning and Ford Bronco Raptor for his collection – Post Malone, who just got an F-150 Raptor tattoo, and Cleetus McFarland, who has been hooning his 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R a lot lately. Now, another famous person has purchased the V8-powered version of the new F-150 Raptor as well – Nascar driver Chase Briscoe.

Chase Briscoe posted a short video on Twitter showing off his latest purchase, which he calls his “grocery getter.” It’s an interesting phrase used to describe the Ford F-150 Raptor R for sure, as we are talking about a truck that comes from the factory packing the supercharged Ford 5.2L V8 engine, generating a hefty 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque.

Regardless, if there’s anyone out there that can handle the Ford F-150 Raptor R, it’s likely a Nascar driver like Briscoe, who also served as a Ford Performance Driving School instructor a couple of years ago, giving some important pointers to those in attendance looking to hone their driving skills. Briscoe also recently signed a new multi-year contract extension with his team, Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), ensuring that the 2020 Nascar Rookie of the Year will continue to drive the No. 14 Nascar Ford Mustang racer for years to come.

We’ll have more on the Raptor R soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-150 news, Ford F-150 Raptor news, and ongoing Ford news coverage.
