After experiencing a seven-month downward spiral, Ford Motor Company Mexico sales increased healthily in April. Last month’s solid double-digit increase represents a year-over-year increase of more than 600 units, marking the automaker’s first positive result of the 2025 calendar year.
Most models from FoMoCo’s two brands in Mexico saw sales increase in April, including five nameplates with triple-digit increases in the month. Among them, the Ford Explorer and Lincoln Navigator stand out, with the largest increases of their respective brands in the Mexican market.
The Ford F-Series also cemented its position as the automaker’s best-selling model in Mexico, surpassing 1,000 monthly deliveries, a 47 percent increase. In contrast, the Ford Territory suffered a contraction in April and remained below four digits as the company’s second most popular model.
A simple yet useful measurement.

We won a Ford of Canada Dealer Contest to the 1988 Super Bowl in San Diego. We decided to go down to Tijuana and saw a Ford store. Walked in and not a soul to be found. Checked out the EEC Zero 300 6 cylinder/4 speed F200 on the showroom floor with the 'Roxatoned' single wall box. Turns out they take 'siestas' seriously!! LOL Fun times.
