After registering its first positive performance of 2020 in September, Ford Argentina sales posted an 8 percent decrease in October. By comparison, the Argentine auto industry saw aggregate sales increase 13.6 percent during the same timeframe.
The vast majority of models offered by Ford in Argentina suffered a notable contraction in sales in October, particularly The Blue Oval’s range of cars and crossovers. In contrast, the brand’s two pickups posted stellar performance last month.
The Ford Ranger was the only product to increase sales volume on a year-over-year basis, becoming the brand’s best-selling model in the country, both during the month as well as during the first ten months of the 2020 calendar year. For its part, the F-150 registered its best sales performance in the Argentine market thus far, with 207 deliveries.
It lost some ground to its cross-town rival in recent months, however.
