After experiencing a losing streak of three consecutive months of contraction, Ford Motor Company Mexico sales kicked off calendar year 2023 with a healthy increase in January. The Mexican subsidiary of FoMoCo halted the loss of volume and managed to bring its two brands above the figures for January 2022.
In particular, automaker’s strong overall performance was fueled by better sales of the Ford F-Series full-size pickup lineup and additional sales of all-new Ford Territory – which together added 1,036 units year-over-year. In fact, the Territory came very close to catching up with the F-Series and became Ford’s second best-selling model.
In addition, they also highlighted healthy increases of Ford Ranger and the majority of utility vehicles of both brands. All together managed to counteract the disappearance of discontinued Ford Figo that had led the brand’s podium in January 2022 with 650 deliveries.
