For yet another month, Ford Brazil sales registered a drastic decrease in April. The performance further deepens the extensive period of negative sales behavior in the South American country for The Blue Oval brand. In fact, the 54 percent drop in April represents Ford’s 28th consecutive drop in monthly sales volume in the Brazilian market.
Much like during the first quarter of the year, the significant drop in Ford Brazil sales during April was marked by the decline in Ranger sales as well as the massive hole left by the discontinued Ka. Between both vehicles, The Blue Oval lost almost 2,000 units in monthly sales volume on an annual basis.
By contrast, the all-new Ford Maverick saw its first full month on sale in Brazil. The new compact pickup recorded its best monthly sales figure in Brazil during April.
