Ford Motor Company Mexico sales increased again in May, with the Ford brand posting a sizeable double-digit rise while Lincoln suffered a large drop. This is FoMoCo’s third consecutive monthly increase in the Mexican market, driven by one model in particular.
Amid mass sales declines for most of its lineup, Ford Motor Mexico’s healthy rise in May was fueled by excellent performance from the new Ford Territory. The compact crossover led the company’s registrations for the second consecutive month and set its highest record to date with 1,060 deliveries.
By contrast, the Ford F-Series and a dozen other vehicles suffered notable declines last month. The full-size pickup lineup stumbled in May and lost the manufacturer’s top-seller spot to the Territory again, but it still stands as the best-seller in the year-to-date total.
