Ford Brazil sales fell once more in July, deepening its ongoing negative performance. The results represent the 19th consecutive month of contraction for The Blue Oval brand in the South American country. However, it's worth noting that the July performance represented a slight improvement compared to the even worse performance in June.
As such, most of the nameplates Ford sells in Brazil were in the red last month. The only exception was the Ranger, which posted a healthy increase of six percent, reinforcing its place as the brand's best-selling model in the Brazilian market.
The cause of the blaze is related to mechanical failure.
Ford now offers a sectioning option for the rear frame rails.
It's one of just 75 built in total.
IIHS hasn't seen an uptick in accidents as a result.
