Ford Motor Company Mexico sales saw healthy growth in January 2022, extending the positive performance that the company has been experiencing in the Mexican market. In fact, last month’s result represents FoMoCo’s fourth consecutive monthly sales increase in the Latin American country.
The uplifting Ford Mexico sales results in January was supported by substantial growth of eight models, along with incremental gains from the most recently-launched Ford vehicles. In addition, the 18 percent growth of the Ford Figo also stands out, resulting in the subcompact car becoming Ford’s best-selling model in Mexico.
By contrast, sales of the Ford F-Series and Ranger dropped sharply during the month. The pickups had finished the 2021 calendar year as two of the most popular vehicles in Mexico for the Ford Motor Company, but lost momentum in the beginning of the year likely as a result of availability constraints.
The crossover continues to grow its sales total with each passing month.
