Ford Motor Company sales increased 16 percent to 464,674 units during third quarter of 2022 in the United States. Sales increased at both FMC brands, Ford and Lincoln.
FoMoCo Sales Notes – U.S. Q3 2022
Sale types:
- Total Ford Motor Company sales during the third quarter of 2022 increased 15.92 percent to 464,674 units
- Demand is strong with retail orders for 2023 model year vehicles up 244 percent over 2022 model year vehicles, totaling 197,000 retail vehicle orders. Ford continues to see strong demand growth and record turn rates on dealer lots
- Year-to-date (through September), F-Series continues as America’s best-selling truck, totaling 467,307 vehicle sales and extending its lead over its second-place competitor to over 92,000 trucks
- Ford electric vehicles sales continue to outpace the segment
- Sales of Ford hybrid vehicles increased 22.6 percent to 74,046 vehicles through September
- The Ford F-150 and Maverick hybrids represent America’s best-selling hybrid trucks
- America’s top-selling electric commercial van, the E-Transit, has 90 percent share of the overall electric van market
- Through September, Ford has sold 4,387 electric vans
Brand & Model Sales
Ford sales increased 15.85 percent to 444,647 units:
- Ford Bronco sales increased 235.48 percent to 31,545 units
- Ford Bronco Sport sales increased 3.56 percent to 21,427 units
- Ford E-Series sales increased 6.07 percent to 9,686 units
- Ford EcoSport sales increased 0.88 percent to 8,262 units
- Ford Edge sales increased 3.68 percent to 16,170 units
- Ford Escape sales increased 34.57 percent to 35,391 units
- Ford Expedition sales increased 12.36 percent to 18,760 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 27.17 percent to 53,326 units
- Ford F-Series sales decreased 2.8 percent to 167,962 units
- F-150 Lightning remains one of Ford’s fastest-turning vehicles on dealer lots, turning in just 8 days
- Ford GT sales decreased 57.5 percent to 17 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales increased 1.59 percent to 3,250 units
- Ford Maverick sales increased 2478.85 percent to 13,049 units
- Ford Maverick is turning on dealer lots in just 6days
- More than 80 percent of Maverick’s customers are first-time truck buyers
- The top competitive conquests coming from Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Honda Civic
- Ford Mustang sales increased 13.59 percent to 10,354 units
- Ford Mustang Mach-E sales increased 77.11 percent to 10,414 units
- The Mustang Mach-E turning in just 10 days on dealer lots
- Ford Ranger sales decreased 13.13 percent to 12,453 units
- Ford Transit sales decreased 2.15 percent to 26,505 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales increased 126.63 percent to 6,076 units
Lincoln sales increased 17.54 percent to 20,027 units:
During the first nine months of the 2022 calendar year, Ford Motor Company sales decreased 1.22 percent to 1,380,494 units.

I would like to see you adding news about Ford in Europe if you have access to this information.
I read through your article today on Ford Q3 sales - there is a bullet point for the Ford Europe q3 sales data but no hyperlink.
