Ford Brazil sales continued to decline in May. In fact, last month’s double-digit decline represents the 17th consecutive decline for Ford in Brazil, where FoMoCo ceased its manufacturing operations at the beginning of the year.
As expected, Ford’s decline in the Brazilian market is the result of a large reduction in sales of Ford’s typical volume leaders – the Ka and EcoSport. Meanwhile, imported models – the Ranger, Mustang and Territory – continued to perform well. The trio was led by the Ford Ranger, which continues to reign as Ford’s best-selling model in the country.
