Ford Argentina sales continued to deepen their negative performance with a drop in March, becoming the 11th consecutive month in which Ford sales have been in the red in the local market. The Blue Oval is struggling to keep inventory at healthy levels, resulting in al lack of supply at dealerships.
Although six of the 11 Ford nameplates offered in Argentina saw gains in sales volume during the past month, the overall result remained negative as a result of the crushing drop of the discontinued Ka and the new double-digit contraction of the Ranger. However, the locally-made midsize pickup recovered its volume compared to February, managing to sell more than 1,000 units.
The positive results of the Ford EcoSport and Territory stand out, achieving healthy two and three digit gains, respectively.
