“Hi Support,
I gave up on help from “Professionals” & Diagnosed the multiple fault codes in the computer Myself. It turned out to be a defective #4 Ignition Coil. Of the SEVEN CODES listed after the New PCM was installed by the Dealer & Those are the same codes it had in it when brought into the FORD Dealer I paid Sunset Ford for their time & took the car home to diagnose myself. There were No codes set for misfires, But That was what was setting the varied codes that didn’t make sense & when checked with a meter, Were shown to be not in error. The coil was sending signals back to the PCM & setting errors that were NOT AT FAULT. Replacing the # 4 Ignition Coil ONLY & Clearing all codes (Other than P-1000), Turned the car from a Shuddering & Dying mess, Back to a perfectly running vehicle with no codes at all. I’ve driven it close to 100 miles since the fix & No issues at all.
I have received a Refund Check from SUNSET FORD for PCM diagnose Error in the sum of $ 760.00 today & placed it back in the bank. I really didn’t need the computer from you that was requested by SUNSET FORD, BUT I’m NOT looking for any kind of a Return OR Refund from your company as the car has your PCM in it & is running great. I don’t want to start changing a car that is PERFECT NOW.
Thank You for your product & I hope that I will never need that lifetime warranty you included. Since this was such a Unexplained Problem of non-common sense, You might want to remember this strange Multiple error code issue, Should it come up in the future.
