Lincoln sales in the United States decreased 51 percent to 4,237 units during July of 2021.
Individual model sales performance was as follows:
During the first seven months of the 2021 calendar year, U.S. Lincoln sales decreased 4.2 percent to 53,161 units.
Model | July 2021 / July 2021 | July 2021 | July 2020 | YTD 2021 / YTD 2020 | YTD 2021 | YTD 2020 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Total | -50.9% | 4,237 | 8,630 | -4.2% | 53,161 | 55,472 |
Aviator | -44.1% | 1,126 | 2,016 | +11% | 12,982 | 11,698 |
Continental | -81.9% | 84 | 465 | -55.4% | 1,357 | 3,040 |
Corsair | -68.8% | 599 | 1,918 | +8.1% | 14,106 | 13,051 |
MKZ | -98.9% | 14 | 1,244 | -78.6% | 1,647 | 7,711 |
Nautilus | -24.5% | 1,416 | 1,876 | +5.6% | 12,843 | 12,157 |
Navigator | -9.7% | 998 | 1,105 | +33.2% | 10,226 | 7,680 |
The 51 percent decrease in Lincoln sales during July 2021 represents the second consecutive month of double-digit declines in Lincoln sales volume in the United States, following the 43 percent drop in June. The performance is the result of low inventory levels caused by the ongoing semiconductor shortage.
Unlike the June performance, when the Navigator was the only Lincoln nameplate to post a year-over-year sales increase, each of Lincoln’s models suffered notable declines in July. As before, the Corsair was hit the hardest and lost its position as the best-selling Lincoln model to the Nautilus.
That said, it is worth noting that Lincoln’s entire utility portfolio still maintained a healthy increase in cumulative sales volume during the first seven months of the year.
It’s safe to expect this sales performance to continue well into the future until the microchip shortage is fully resolved.

The only reason I can see why is price. I am going to replace my wife's Cadillac with a Lincoln. It's one of the best SUV's out there, IMO.
I'd also say availability as I have an aviator gt ordered but still have not gotten it yet and there is basically no dealer inventory due to the shortages.
Interested to buying the 2022 Expedition Max, With the King Ranch Trim. I'm not sure when I can put in the order based on the upcoming changes and upgrades and upgrades to the vehicle line. And I want to get the latest technology that I have read about for the 2022. When can I place my order?
Just finished one full year with our Aviator. The best vehicle we've ever owned. Order up, good friends. It's worth the wait.
