In terms of segment share, the CR-V claimed 16 percent, up four percentage points, while the RAV4 claimed 12 percent, down one percentage point. The Rogue earned 10 percent share, up two percentage points, while the Tucson gained one percentage point for nine percent share. The Forester earned seven percent share, up two percentage points, while the Escape’s six percent share represented a one percentage point decrease. The Crosstrek lost three percentage points for six percent share, while the CX-5 and Sportage each lost one percentage point, each earning six percent share. Overall, the mainstream C-segment crossover bracket expanded 18 percent to 617,159 units, meaning that Ford Bronco sales slightly outperformed the segment average.
It is also worth noting that Ford now fields two vehicles in this segment: the Escape and the Bronco Sport. Combining sales of both models gives The Blue Oval 72,006 deliveries, good for approximately 12 percent segment share. While that exceeds the seven percent segment share held by the Escape alone, it still doesn’t surpass the 16 percent share held by the CR-V alone.

Ford Bronco Sport sales reflect an increase in production of the off-road crossover, is produced at the Hermosillo Assembly plant.
Looking ahead, the 2024 Bronco Sport represents a handful of changes and updates over its 2023 model year predecessor. It ditched its SecuriCode keyless entry keypad from the lineup, dropped four exterior colors, which were replaced by two others, lost its windshield wiper de-icer, along with the entry-level Base trim. Two new packages are available for customers looking for a little extra pizazz for their rugged crossover, including the Black Appearance Package and the retro-themed Free Wheeling Package.

For the 85th time, the Bronco Sport is NOT a C-segment entry. Yes, Ford and NHTSA say so, based on INTERIOR volume, mainly due to its height, but it's shorter than a Trailblazer. Midcompact, between B and C.
