Ford Transit Connect sales fell 50 percent in Q2 2024 for 2,462 deliveries as any lingering inventory continues to leave dealer lots.
The Transit Connect (see running Ford Transit Connect sales) was declared officially dead after the 2023 model year and its only remaining competitor, the Ram ProMaster City, received a similar fate, canceled after the 2022 model year. Sales of that model recorded just seven deliveries this quarter. Another competitor in the compact van space, the Nissan NV200, exited the market a few years ago.

The compact van segment saw a total of 2,469 deliveries during Q2 2024.
Sales of the Ford Transit Connect in Q2 2024 are merely recording any remaining units still unsold since last year when it was discontinued. Transit Connect inventory dipped below 3K in April and about 1,000 new Transit Connect vans were left for sale as of August. Production ended this past December.
Consequently The Blue Oval has turned the Ford Transit Connect consumer site into a farewell page.
Once any Transit Connect examples are gone, the compact van segment will be completely extinct, as all models in this space have been discontinued.
The 2023 Ford Transit Connect did not introduce any major changes to the compact van line for its 10th and final model year of its second generation. The current-generation model has been in production and largely unchanged since the 2014 model year, though it did undergo a mid-cycle refresh for the 2019 model year. However, the 2023 Transit Connect ditched its optional 2.5L I4 engine and is now only available with the the 2.0L I4 engine.
Giving suppliers far less flexibility than before.

Sales increased 18 percent to 38,762 units during the first nine months of 2025.
