Lincoln Nautilus sales fell in the United States, Canada and Mexico, while increasing in South Korea during the second quarter of 2020.
Lincoln replaced the MKX with the Nautilus in 2019, in conjunction with the midcycle refresh. Availability of both models continues to overlap in some international markets as dealers sell out the remaining MKX inventory and transition to selling the Nautilus. For this reason, our figures include both Nautilus and MKX results.

It’s worth noting that Lexus RX sales figures include those of the regular RX, which is a direct rival to the Nautilus, as well as those of the RX L, which is a three-row model that is rivaled by the Lincoln Aviator.

After a strong performance throughout the 2019 calendar year, the Nautilus’ sales performance in the first half of 2020 fell significantly due to the COVID-19, which resulted in Ford idling production across the Americas.
Additionally, the pandemic saw substantially reduced purchase-related interactions due to stay-at-home orders, along with reduced spending power as a result of negative financial impacts brought about by the pandemic.
We’re interested in seeing how Lincoln Nautilus sales perform once coronavirus-related impacts either go away entirely, or subside to minimal levels.

Lincoln needs to step up its game on all the SUV including the Nautilus, since that’s all the brand is selling in the future. Small upgrades would help the outside Continental doors handles on all Lincoln models, maybe it’s the name who came up with Nautilus from MKX? Why not Lincoln Mystique...
Now that an announcement is made that this product will be discontinued down the road, future sales will suffer .
A grim fact indeed
To clarify - Lincoln and Ford do not talk about future products or future plans surrounding products.
What we do have is a throughly-researched report from Ford Authority that states that it will be dropped in 2024:
https://fordauthority.com/2020/08/lincoln-nautilus-production-to-end-in-july-of-2024/
However, it's not an official announcement, per se.
Just wanted to make that distinction.
That said, very few people follow the industry as closely as we do... and most are unaware of the plans to discontinue this vehicle in a few years... so the impact on sales should be minimal.
You sound like them, hope your getting paid
Apparently, it is more important to the bean counters at Ford that the Oakville plant be closed than continue the successful Edge and Nautilus.
