We bought a 2018 Ford Edge Titanium in January 2023 from a KIA dealership in Clarksville Indiana. I wish I had researched the Ecoboost 2.0 engine first. If I had we would not have made this purchase. We have been getting Check Engine Light (CEL) lighting up frequently and the vehicle is now consuming coolant. It’s probably the beginning of the end for this motor. We can only hope the 3rd party extended warranty we also purchased will pay for the inevitable engine replacement. So far, we replaced the sparkplugs and one of the ignition coild on cylinder #4. My OBD-II indicates misfires on cylinder #4, code p0304 which is unusual because this issue usually involves cylinders #3 and #4.

It is unconscionable that Ford has refused to do a recall for what is clearly a manufacturing defect. At the very least, Ford should do for Ecoboost 2.0 owners what they have done for Ecoboost 1.5 owners. I read a lady’s post online whose 1.5 engine was replaced and 95,000 miles. Apparently, people have to die from crashes and/or engine fires before they step up. If you are shopping for a car, avoid the Ecoboost 2.0 engine on all vehicles prior to 2021…

UPDATE: I finally took delivery of my F250 on 28 JANUARY 2023. Eleven and a half months after ordering it, and four months after it was built. The shipping delays cost me upwards of $3500. With such terrible shipping operations exemplary of Ford not truly caring about delivery of their product, it is no wonder they are losing so much business and money.

Waiting for my 2020 Ford XLT replacement Engine 5.0 V8, Oil Consumption issue, diagnosed January 2023. My car sitting in the Dealership, Told to wait until July.
Is there a way for Ford to know when exactly this Engine Part HL3Z-6006-DARM, is available, and what COPIS Emergency case (Vehicle Off Road), is being fulfilled, so at minimum they provide information on where you are on the priority list.

This is just ridiculous that you’re waiting blind, they should be able to track this process and provide you some information.

Anyone from Ford can provide any information really frustrating!!

    Thanks

Why has my 2022 Ford Escape Titanium been sitting in Louisville waiting to be shipped for 6 months. It took you 8 months to build the car and now 6 months and counting to deliver. Our Escape was completed sept. 27 and has been sitting somewhere in Kentucky since then. Today new delivery date we received is April 6th.

What type of problems are Ford having with the production of the 2023 Maverick? They have confirmed receipt of my order but in almost 6 months cannot provide any further information. They hardly mention anything to keep the 23 buyers up to date and now are almost silent on this site. If Ford want to sell this vehicle, they better get their act together and get this vehicle in production and not just for fleet orders. This is not to a smart business to accept order and not deliver. Ford is to good company to operate this way.

My 2023 F250 Lariat order was placed on November 4, 2022. I received the 45 day supply chain issues email from Ford in mid December. On February 16th I got an email from Ford stating that my truck was scheduled for production the week of March 6th along with the VIN. I ordered the 7.3 gas motor and a few options like goose neck prep, spray in bed liner FX4 package etc. I stayed away from electronic options and kept it pretty close to the base Lariat trim. Fingers crossed. Not counting on it being at the dealership in Tulare California before April 15th. The dealership said that if it’s shipped by rail count on at least a month to get to the dealership from Louisville.
