I have a 2020 Explorer Titanium, I love this car. Here is the problem. If you have been running your car a while you know how the engine gets hot. Well so does the Rod that hold the hood up. I mean really HOT. Ford needs to put an insulator on this rod so a person can attached it too the hood without being burned.

    Hello,
We are the Father/Son (JC Perf Dvlp) team that have developed the World’s fastest documented Edge Sport.

We are currently reverse engineering the rear viscous coupler.

During an inspection of the 2.7 TT eco boost boost tube Sys we noted a part in each boost tube Sys that we couldn’t identify what it is and it’s purpose.

Can we please get your assistance identifying the part , it’s a double donut looking part that’s coupled in each boost tube Sys.

We have the Ford parts diagram to forward however this forum doesn’t have an obvious way to attach documents.

    Respectfully
    Jim

Hi there, hopefully somebody here can point me in the right direction because contacting Ford and Mazda has been nothing but a bust! My son has a 2012 CX-9 with a grenaded 3.7 engine. We can’t seem to find any Mazda 3.7 engines to replace it, is it possible to use one of the mustang 3.7 from the same era ? 2014 to be specific

Appreciate any help, or where we can go to legitimately find the answer. Thanks in advance

I own a 2020 Platinum F-150 I’ve seriously owned a model of every vehicle I’ve bought. When I sell I give the model to the new owner which they apreaciate. Now I’ve found F-150 models Pickups on line but none are platinums ive found a Lariat believe it or not not a 2020 but close in the year to my truck. My question is does Ford make models of their trucks and maybe King Ranch editions? Maybe even paint colors as on the real truck. Years ago back in the 90’s I bought a wrecked Ford Cobra that had this paint that changed color in the sun. I worked at a paint and body shop first job before the Navy, anyway I worked hard to fix that mustang and I did and I repainted the passenger side that was tore up. When I was done it looked brand new but it took to end of summer to finally finish that car. Anyway I wanted a model with the exact same paint, since we already had the paint mixed I had a mustang I took apart and used a sand blaster to remove the paint and with the left over paint after painting my car I shot the model and like the real mustang I premiered the car wet sanded the model I know crazy but I was in high school and remember when you were 16? At any rate ya I sprayed it with two coats and of course clear coats, and polished it dam it looked Awsome and my friends wanted me to paint them one. While my younger brother got it after I left for the Navy and played with it, it was not in the condition I had hoped but I took my real mustang out of storage had Ford help me replace the parts after sitting eight years and it took me time to buy the parts just starting a new job. But I kept the storage unit until I got it running right and finally it was fixed and had it waxed looking like new and everyone said it was a unique color wanted to know was that Fords paint or had I repainted it? I would say, well half of the paint is, and some of it I repainted it. They looked confused but I would explain I bought it wrecked. At any point I always thought why don’t car manufacturers paint models with the real paint used on the real vehicles they sale, as opposed to letting some China or Korea company spray cheap paint on a model of a vehicle and never the color the person wants? Now I’m reading Ford has models they have of their vehicles and so will Ford paint the actual colors and will Ford have like XLT or Lariat models which say which model? What about 2020 F-150 truck models with different trim listed all the way up to a Limited. If so let me know thanks. Have a great day to whom all who have read my long over drawn message.

On a recent trip to Colorado I experienced a violent vibration in the front end of my 2019 F350 – occurred twice. When I returned home I went to my local Ford dealership to ask if they were aware of this type of vibration and was there anything that could be done. Their reply was they had not heard of anyone experiencing this type of violent vibration. After searching the internet I found a number of articles that describe this and have labeled this “Death Wobble”.

Getting no answers from my local Ford dealership I decided to ask another dealership if they were aware of this condition. The service manager I talked to indicated that he was well aware, after experiencing this condition himself, and he stated that he had 4 vehicles waiting for parts. Apparently the parts that are used to help (NOT CURE) this condition are on nationwide backorder.

I pull a 15,000 lb 5th wheel and do not feel comfortable hauling it knowing that there is a possibility of this reoccurring.

Has anyone else experienced this condition and what, if anything, was done to remedy it?

Interesting comment by the service manager – the front end on these types of vehicles has been around forever and why it occurs on some and not on all is concerning.

Ok, have a 2005 F150 4×4, stock rims and tires. I’m not adding rims or bigger tires, etc., just want to put a leveling kit on the front……I have see 2″, 2.5″ and 3″……just want to level it out without having to buy new springs and shocks, etc……which height would be the one to go with??? I’ve seen the kit in powered coated steel and molded hard plastic or what ever that would be…

Thoughts or experience with this, chime in and give opinions…..

i am new to the Ford World, only drove my moms 2000 Ford Fiesta and a 2015 Ford Focus Turnier as rental up to now. My Daily is a 2005 VW Passat B6 but i plan to upgrade to a MK IV Mondeo in the next few months. I saw a lot of Ads for Cars in the Price range but noticed that some of them come with Sync 2. Sync 2 is probably unusable for me since i installed a CarPlay aftermarket Head Unit to my Passat, so i need Sync 3 to be able to use that as well.

I just got my new to me 2015 Taurus SEL and wanted to get the most out of my infotainment system. Ford website and manual are very not helpful, making me run in circles and dead ends. How do I find out exactly what version of Sync I have, and how do I get navigation on there?

It has the 4 colored corners on the touch screen. When I try to use SyncMyRide I find it’s no longer supported. Any way to still get navigation, and maybe apps like Spotify, even if it is through my phone? Thanks for the help

I see no mention of what the body sheet metal is made of, hopefully it is steel and not aluminum. Anyone know?
