For the thirteenth consecutive month, Ford Motor Company Mexico sales decreased in a not-insignificant fashion in January. As such, the automaker starts the new year by deepening its negative performance in the Latin country, where demand for cars has further weakened since the arrival of COVID-19.
As a consequence, during past month the vast majority of FoMoCo models in Mexico saw their sales drop – including the most popular Ford F-Series, Ranger and Figo. In contrast, the new Explorer and Lincoln Aviator were the only nameplates that managed to increase their deliveries on a year-over-year basis.
Additionally, the all-new Ford Bronco Sport recorded just 20 deliveries in its second full month on sale in Mexico, representing a dramatic decrease from the 129 copies sold in December 2020.
