My dealer said that F250 production would start in February! Good luck! My F150 was built in November, still sitting on a lot in Dearborn waiting on a part(s)!! No more emails from Ford…..

I have a 2011 Grand Marquis with extended Ford warranty, All 2011 GM left the factory as fleet cars, Can I have the local Ford agency install OEM upgrade parts and not cancel the extended Ford warranty?

Small block replaced under warranty at 45,000 miles due to coolant issue.

Door bottoms rusting (I’m in NC, so no salt) but not rusted thru so not covered under rust thru warranty. I fixed myself with Dremel and rust inhibiter and touch up paint.

Transmission just went at 101,000. Taking to local transmission place to rebuild.

So, the car seats are great, I’ve liked it, so other than the engine, transmission, and rust it’s been a good car. (LOL)

I’ve drove Fords since 1992, a lot of miles, and I’m about done.

Good day, can someone help with the engine overhaul torque specifications for a 2013 Ford Fiesta ecoboost on the bolts and nuts for crankshaft main bearings, rod bearings, cylinder head, flywheel and the crank pulley? Thank you.

Update to original post of July 30, 2022 Rear brakes squeaking.
I reached out to my Ford Dealership via phone and then in person, and on October 10, 2022 the service department had the rear brake shoes/pad assemblies replaced, and the rear rotors machined, the Bronco had 10,150 miles at the time of repair. When I left the dealer the brakes worked as designed and the next morning there was no squeaking and the repair seem to have resolved the issue. I have just turned 14,100 miles and the rear brakes are still working without squeaking, as one would expect.
The service writer, Jesus and the service manager Jason Green were both professional and interested in getting this matter addressed which I appreciated. I’ll update my post should there be any issues moving forward.

    Topic: F150 Shipping delays?

I’m really wondering about Ford’s ability when it comes to shipping my new F150! I placed an order in late August, not too long after I received my first email from Ford acknowledging my order. So, after a short period they sent the “checking in” email. Eventually in November, I received an email telling me that my F150 is built, November 22, 2022. It should take 10 to 14 days to arrange shipping to the dealership. LAST communication! No more email from Ford, I run the tracker and no new updates. What is the problem? Is it really built or partially built waiting on parts? Many questions, no answers. Frustrating! Sitting here in mid January without.

I had my 2019 F150 towed to the local Ford dealership with a dead battery, Truck is not 2 years old yet and has 22000 miles on it. (leftover) The dealer told me I had to pay a $50 diagnostic fee for them to look at my truck as Ford requires a diagnostic test on a machine before replacement. I asked if the battery was bad under warranty would Ford pay the diagnostic or would the dealer wave the fee? I was told no on both accounts. Then told if I didn’t pay the diagnostic up front they would not even look at my truck. I told them I need my truck so what choice did I have. I came home and called Ford and they told me that Dealers are franchise’s they could not control that. It ate on me and I called Ford back the next day and got a different person. He told me that under the bumper to bumper warranty the battery would be replaced eother under the bumper to bumper or the battery warranty which is 2 years and they where using the2 years battery warranty which is why I had to pay the $50. I said huh? So I got madder and called a third time where the woman told me that Ford does not pay any diagnostic fees at all even under warranty. I said ” your require a diagnostic to prove the battery is bad under warranty but you wont pay for the diagnostic? She said no. I said then what the hell good is the bumper to bumper warranty? SO I had to pay $50 for a new battery that was under Fords bumper to bumper warranty!

I took my Explorer to the dealer yesterday and they called me. Seems there is a model H and a model J for the rear climate control. They have a bunch of model J but the model H they do not have and Ford has put a hold on that model. My vehicle requires the model H…so I guess I will have to continue waiting….

I also am having the same problem with my new Ford bronco squeaking when I back up. It doesn’t matter whether it’s turning to the right or the left I wish ford would address this issue.

In reply to: Ford lug nuts swell

Many Ford vehicles have the two-part lug nuts. The lug nuts are enclosed by a chrome jacket to improve their appearance. These lug nuts tend to get moisture in between the nut and the jacket which eventually causes corrosion. The corrosion makes the lug nuts swell up to a point where the standard tire wrench will not fit. This means that the lug nuts must be replaced. This is a systemic design issue with these vehicles, and Ford should cover the cost of replacing the lug nuts.

The Louisville Kentucky Ford Escape plant started producing the 2023 models the afternoon of January 3rd, Ford had previously estimated production December 12th so this is 3 weeks later than their original estimates.

As production has now started, it appears Ford is not going to provide a customer satisfaction private offer to the thousands of customers that did not receive their orders for the 2022 Escape and were force to convert to much more expensive 2023 orders.

Ford had Transition Customer Satisfaction Private Offer Programs for 2022 Bronco, 2022 Maverick and 2022 Lighting order holders. Why not 2022 Escape order holders?

I am very disappointed in Ford for doing nothing for thousands of Escape customers that ordered vehicles from Ford up to a year ago.

I’m in the same boat. I ordered a 2023 F350 Lariat at order book opening, and so far I have only gotten the 45 day email (12/15/22) from Ford saying:

We understand it has been too long since you last heard from us. Today, we wanted to give you an update on the status of your Super Duty F-350 Lariat order.

Unfortunately, continued supply chain issues are slowing things down. We’re working diligently to try and reduce these delays.

Now here’s our promise to you. We know that waiting for delivery of your Ford is far less fun than actually driving it. So, we commit to updating you as soon as we can, at least once every 45 days regarding your vehicle’s production schedule status. No matter what.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I guess my next check-in email will show up February 1.

The lug nuts swell and you can not change the tires, I spent 400 to take care of my flat tire, Called Ford and they will not recall this issue.
