A class action lawsuit if forming. If you end up out of pocket for the 2.0 Ecoboost engine failure, keep all receipts and paperwork. Make sure you are getting the new designed engine to replace the faulty designed engine. Here is a link to the lawfirm handling the consolidated case:

Contact them and enroll in the legal action against Ford. Just bear in mind these things take a lot of time to develop…Best wishes! Mike

I have nearly the same problem. Bought a used vehicle from a reputable dealer. Didn’t even get the license plates on it yet and got a CEL. Did the same thing, changed plugs and coil packs. Still have the issue. With some research, found the technical bulletin, did the pressure test, and it failed. Used a borescope and can clearly see water in the #2 cylinder. Unfortunately, it took just a few more miles than the 1000 mile warranty to see and determine the root cause of the issue. Car is a 2017, and only had 37k miles on it. Not sure what the next steps will be. Does anyone have current info on the class action lawsuit? Anyone have luck getting Ford to address the issue? Have read some comments about taking Ford to small claims court, but haven’t seen any feedback on the outcomes. I have a feeling I may be eating this one. Can’t trust anyone these days

I orderd a 2024 Ranger back in September of ’23. I called Ford to ask what the delay is and was informed that it was awaiting an update. Does anyone know what the update is? Ford has nor responded to me on their tracking page.

    Topic: Fusion Hybrid to Energi?

    Hey Ford fam! 👋
So, I’ve been rocking a 2018 Fusion Hybrid Titanium for a while now, and it’s been absolutely amazing. Seriously, this car is smooth, fuel-efficient, and has all the bells and whistles. Love it!
BUT… (there’s always a but, right? 😅) I recently switched jobs, and now my daily commute is a measly 10 miles. Makes me kinda sad to not be taking full advantage of the PHEV’s capabilities.
That’s why I’m considering trading up to a Fusion Energi. The plug-in hybrid life seems perfect for my situation. Short commutes on electric power, but still the gas engine for those occasional longer trips.
    So, here’s the deal:
I’ve got a 2018 Fusion Hybrid Titanium in great condition (minus a little dent on the rear bumper, oops!). Carfax is clean, and she’s got about 80k miles on the clock.
Looking to trade for a 2018 or newer Fusion Energi with less than 100k miles. I’m willing to cover the price difference, of course.
Alternatively, if someone’s interested in buying my Hybrid outright, I’m open to that too! Asking $19k, but I’m a little flexible. 😉
    Located in Jacksonville, IL.
    What I’m curious about:
For Energi owners: What do you love about it? Any downsides I should be aware of?
Anyone out there made a similar switch from Hybrid to Energi? How’d it go?
Any Jacksonville folks interested in a trade or purchase?
Hit me up if you have any thoughts or are interested! Thanks, everyone!

It’s Ford Forum as far as I see, maybe suggest visiting Lincoln forum?

Find it interesting that Ford often has these “brighter” ideas that are not very bright. Example: They tout this ad, but if you want a Super Duty Tremor, you have to get the gutless gas engine or the overpriced and unnecessary HO Diesel. Can’t get anyone at Ford to tell me why this is? Certainly not power needed for the Tremor. If that was the case it would be either the standard diesel or the HO with no option for the 7.3 gasser which for you moronic marketers at Ford would actually make a little sense and would generate far more revenue. Marketing and advertising people have no business making any functional, option or ordering decisions on vehicles they often know little to nothing about. Same old same old. Idiots in charge of the asylum. Debating on getting a GMC ATX4 2500. Ford Corporate are you listening?

Yes. Ford is dishonest about the tax rebate. When I was foolish enough to purchase my “edsel”, in Oct. of ’23,I asked the salesman why I was only getting half the rebate, he said quote, “Thats just the way Ford does it”.
Of course we all know now , it was the battery that did not meeting domestic production rules. I thought i was buying an American car. Nope.

Europe has enjoyed the Ford Cargo Transit Custom (hybrid) Van for several years and is popular there. Will we see one coming to the United States? I’d buy one in a second.

2020 Ford Explorer transmission is bucking hard between shifts, only 20,000 miles on the vehicle. Does Ford offer a loaner or rental since it is unsafe to drive and it’s my only vehicle? It is still under the drivetrain warranty.

    Ford Limited Explorer 2020
    10r60 transmission 2.3 liter rwd.

I cant find any Ford dealership (checked 3 in the area) able to repair for at least a month due to workload on transmission (and the need to order a lot of parta for the repair). It sounds like a difficult repair too on an almost brand new transmission. 7th gear to 6th gear hard down shift. It is now doing it on up shifts as well.

I am 65 and drive very smoothly, and I seldom drive it. Bought used from dealer in Virginia in May 2020 with 18,000 miles on it.

With the 2024 Mustang 2.3 getting both port and direct injection, I was wondering if the 2024 Ranger was following suit. I have checked with a few dealers and most say port injection was added even though the Ford Media sites don’t mention it. Anybody have anymore insight on this? Thanks

What happened to Ford Quality? I have had my cam phaser replaced, had front wheel bearings go out and now my transmission has gone bad in my 2018 F150. The bad thing is it will take 4 to 6 weeks to replace because there are so many of these that need transmission repair. Dealers aren’t doing loan because of the number and time to repair. My Maverick is the 3rd Ford Hybrid I have owned. My 2nd Hybrid vehicle is a 2013 C-Max that I bought new. After I had owned it for a while Ford came out with a computer fix that allows the Hybrid motor to operate up to around 83 mph.

My Maverick will not not go into electric mode above 55 mph

I believe that the motors in both vehicles are the same.

I have selected ECO as the drive mode.

My question is am I not driving it correctly, do I need to select another mode or do something different….

Any help/answers appreciated. Yhank You in advance.

Ford is no different than most large companies when it comes to customer service and I consider giving accurate shipping status falls under customer service. Large companies are making record profits. One way to increase profit is to cut back on expenses. In my opinion, customer service is the last thing you would want to reduce and/or provide a horrible experience. Wake up Ford! Providing strong customer service creates loyalty. If I believe what I’ve been told, my Transit Trail Van was completed 7 weeks ago, but the shipping status is all over the map.
