From a segment share standpoint, the Transit Connect held a 55 percent share, a decrease of one percent from Q2 2019. The Nissan, which will be discontinued in the medium-term future, held a 26 percent share, down from 27 percent. Meanwhile, the Ram-badged Fiat van held a 19 percent share, up from 17 percent.
The compact van segment contracted nearly 37 percent to 12,319 units in Q2 2020.
The numbers continue to speak for themselves: the Ford Transit Connect continued to dominate its segment during the second quarter of 2020, despite seeing a 38 percent sales drop as a result of the coronavirus breakout.
Luckily, Transit Connect production at the Ford Valencia plant in Spain restarted in May, so Q3 2020 should see a healthy uptick in sales volume as FoMoCo satisfies pent-up orders and demand.
For the 2021 model year, Ford will discontinue the Transit Connect Taxi package, while also making a few minor changes to the compact van.

My work van is a 2015 TRANSIT CONNECT. No major complaints or problems other than normal wear items. The 2.5L 4 has great starting torque and fairly smooth for a 4 cylinder.
