The Ford Authority Take

Sales of the Bronco and Bronco Sport were solidly in the green in Q2 2025. While the Bronco posted a higher growth rate on a percentage basis, sales volumes of both models were almost equal – within about 400 deliveries – with each moving more than 39K units.

We expect sales of both the Ford Bronco and the Bronco Sport to continue at or near their existing levels, as long as macro scale issues – such as those related to the economy, tariffs, or production and supply – remain at bay. Both models continue to serve the off-road segment that continues to be popular today and is forecast to remain that way well into the future.

As a reminder, the Ford Bronco family is comprised of two distinct models, the first being the “regular” Bronco body-on-frame SUV, and the second being the Bronco Sport unibody crossover.

About Ford Bronco

Riding on the body-on-frame Ford T6 platform, the Ford Bronco is available in two-door and four-door body styles. In addition, the SUV is available with two engine options. The first is the 2.3L I4 EcoBoost engine, rated at 275 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. The second is the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine, good for 310 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the range-topping Bronco Raptor is powered exclusively by the 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine, which throws a healthy 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.

The 2025 Ford Bronco arrives with a pair of new offerings, namely the Stroppe Edition and Free Wheeling Package, which are both retro throwbacks to the off-roading SUV’s past. But the Wildtrak, Everglades, Heritage Limited, and Black Diamond series have all been deleted, though the latter is now optional as a Black Diamond package for Big Bend. Also, the Base trim level returns after a one-year absence as the entry-level variant, and offers several packages.

The 12-inch digital gauge cluster is now standard, the Bronco Badlands gets the Wildtrak HOSS 3.0 suspension system as an option, and the FITS system present in the Ford Maverick is now available on the 2025 Bronco.

In four-door models equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission, the rear HVAC vents have moved from the floor to the rear portion of the center console, though much of the lineup has lost its grab handles and the entire range has ditched the wireless charging pad. The entire lineup is getting ambient footwell lighting as standard equipment, while the heated steering wheel is included as standard on the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Raptor trims. The B&O sound system gets updated for 2025.

Notably, for 2025, the Raptor adds three new exterior colors, but the lineup loses a total of six of them. The 2025 Bronco offers The Blue Oval’s factory matte clear film option that was initially available for the seventh-generation Ford Mustang.

The Raptor and the Heritage Edition both feature two 17-inch wheels, while the back-again Base trim has three wheels, the Big Bend offers seven wheels, the Outer Banks has five wheels, the Badlands is available with four wheels, and the Stroppe Edition offers one set of wheels.

A new Coastal Package gets the 2025 Bronco ready for the beach, available from Ford Custom Garage.

The 2026 Ford Bronco 60th Anniversary Package was just officially revealed to celebrate the storied history of The Blue Oval’s off-roading SUV.

About Ford Bronco Sport

The Ford Bronco Sport, meanwhile, utilizes The Blue Oval’s unibody C2 platform and offers two engine options, namely the 1.5L I4 EcoBoost engine and the 2.0L I4 EcoBoost engine. Standard with the Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks trim levels, the 1.5L engine is rated at 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. In contrast, the 2.0L engine puts out a more impressive 250 horsepower as well as 277 pound-feet of torque. It’s standard exclusively on the range-topping Badlands trim.

The refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport debuts with plenty of updates and changes, including new tech highlighted by a large infotainment screen and a first-ever Sasquatch Package, which comes equipped with a brush bar or guard and is only offered on the Outer Banks and Badlands trim levels. The Big Bend remains the base model in the lineup. Notably, the update model axes the rubberized cargo floor on three trims.

Here’s a guide to every 2025 Bronco Sport package and available wheel. It drops three exterior colors but adds two ones.

  • ... I didn't take the time to read most of this article, it was redundant from other articles each day. I know the Sport is a lot cheaper. If you've ever driven one, you'd never buy one other than the price difference. AND, they devaluate faster than the U.S. dollar.

    • Test drove a 2025 Bronco Sport, liked it, and bought it. Very easy to drive, the tech isn't overwhelmingly difficult, and I'm averaging 30mpg for the first 1,000 miles. It does everything I need it to do on a daily basis.

Every new mass produced car depreciates quickly these days. That's just the way it goes.
